it's about time!

the phillies finally did it. they beat the braves.

cole hamels had a rough start... giving up 3 runs in the 1st... but calmed down after that to only give a way a minimal amount of hits b4 chipper jones homered off of him again in the 8th. alas.

he still got the win, however... which is great for me... cuz he's on my fantasy team!

ole' charlie got thrown out of the game by the phillies nemesis umpire, joe west. seriously. this guy. i remember going to games growing up where joe was the home plate ump... and he just seems to hate the phillies. i'm totally not kidding. always making bad calls on them. he must be a braves fan.

[ps... still on philly... but re: football... why didn't the eagles draft a wide receiver?!? they needed to get players who'll help the team right now... not in 4 years... and not for sure. i can't stand it.]

oh- also... sad about hancock. it doesn't matter that he was a cardinal... you never wanna see that happen. i'm sorry for your loss, st. louis...
